The $2.8 Million Leica is the World’s Most expensive camera

The World of Expensive Cameras is dominated by the Flagships from world class brands like Hasselblad, Canon, Nikon, Leica and many more. Of course, as camera enthusiasts, we are very interested in the King of the expensive camera world.

The 1923 O series Leica shown above, made camera history back in 2012 by selling for a record 2.16 Million Euros (US$2.77 mill) to an anonymous European buyer.

The Leica is one from the first batch of 31 cameras the company ever created. Only about 12 are known to still exist; fewer still are in such a pristine condition. Other Cameras from the O-Series have been auctioned earlier for $430,000 in 2007 and for $1.7 million in 2011.

The rate at which the value of these cameras is increasing might make you want to rethink your investment strategy.
